Cameo Club

The Cameo Club of the Virginia DAR was organized Friday, March 20, 1998, during the 102nd State Conference, with Mrs. Calhoun J. Killeen, Organizing President, presiding. Eighty-three Virginia Daughters attended the organizing meeting and luncheon. As of March 12, 1999, the Virginia DAR Cameo Club had a membership of 292.

The objects of the Cameo Club are:

  • To promote understanding and fellowship between generations;
  • To encourage the passage of genealogical information, family histories, and patriotism to subsequent generations; and
  • To promote membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Membership in the Cameo Club is open to any Virginia DAR grandmother, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, or cousin who can prove NSDAR membership at the same time with a living relative or a relative who is deceased. Members of the Virginia Cameo Club may invite their qualifying NSDAR relatives in other states to apply for membership in the Virginia Cameo Club.
