Welcome to General William Campbell Chapter, NSDAR

The General William Campbell Chapter, NSDAR, organized in 1923, is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer service organization. Membership in the DAR provides opportunities to honor our American heritage of freedom, to preserve family and local histories, to support our national defense, and to form friendships with others who share our love of "God, Home, and Country."

Some of our ongoing projects include collecting and donating gifts to our veterans at the Salem Veterans Hospital, supporting our Native American schools, donating to local charitable organizations, and volunteering time in our community.

Our programs this year cover the American Constitution, DAR protocol, Appalachian women writers, Christmas program, the life and times of Mary Draper Ingles, DAR Good Citizens Award, women's issues, and an ancestor "show and tell" at our annual picnic.

The DAR is a non-political organization open to women over the age of 18 who have a proven linear blood line descent connection from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.

We welcome you to join us at one of our meetings to learn more about our chapter and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Chapter meetings are held on the third Saturday during the months of September through May, with the exception of some holiday months.

We hope you will join us and let's celebrate America together!
