Chapter Activities

Patriotic endeavors include chapter contributions to Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond. United States of America flags are presented to new citizens at the Alexandria Federal Courthouse and on other occasions.

Chapter promotion of education activities include honoring DAR Good Citizens from James Monroe High School and Fredericksburg Academy and contributing to all DAR-supported schools.

Historic preservation efforts include promoting and supporting the state regent's historic preservation project. During the 2010-2013 administration the chapter sponsored three awarded national and state DAR preservation grants.
